All, I am having trouble finding any literature that gives a snout to vent length of an adult male Furcifer pardalis. I can find lots of info that says they get to be ~ 15-20". Is this actually snout to vent or tip to tip?
Thanks for all your responses. I may make the switch to distilled as the tap water leaves everything covered in a white film (plants, screen, pan). I assume this is an electrolyte of some sort.
I have seen a few people say that they use distilled water to hydrate their animals. I have always been told that distilled water lacks minerals and will actually leach minerals out of an animal. Same thing goes for humans-we aren't supposed to drink it. When the water is passed in the urine...
Mine seems to sleep according to the natural day/night schedule. At around 5PM he will go to his perch even though his lights are on and start trying to go to sleep. His lights go out at 6:30 PM.
Looks like a panther to me, but I could be wrong. Make sure to find out quickly, as the care will be quite different I believe. Welcome to the forums by the way.

I can't really see what you're referring to. Is it possible to get a better picture when you have him out? I think the light reflection is keeping me from seeing the mark.
Others Herps
I recently got rid of my Mexican black kingsnake to make room for my panther. I also have a few different species of Ambystoma. Unfortunately I am a herpetologist and my job requires me to keep various herps for pickling. Before anyone chimes in and tells me how terrible I am...
Thanks! He's an ambilobe and probably looks different b/c those are his basking colors. He typically is a nice seafoam green with red turrets and red bands on his tail. Does he seem healthy to you?
I changed the drip rate to 1 drop/sec. I mist with a hand mister. I do have a vet capable of handling him as well. I have tried to get silkies, but they are sold out pretty much everywhere. I will probably make the move to dubias in the next month or so once i have room for them. His poop...
