Thanks! I plan to mix it up a bit, but i just wanted a stable food source that is cheap and doesnt stink like crickets. Im sure they still have to be dusted for vitimins and calcium correct? Do most chams readily accept dubias?

i want to establish a colony so i dont have to constantly go to the pet store and buy crickets. I would like to just establish a small colony to constantly feed from. Also, I heard that you can totally substitute crickets for dubias.

why spend so much on food? This is food correct? It seems as though 80 bucks is a little steep. Do these mantids offer super nutrition or something?

I am trying to avoid the same problem. I would look into LLL Reptile's drainage pan. I think it is the easiest way to go. All you have to do is drill a hole in the side of the pan(dont drill too close to the bottom!) and insert a 1/4 male pipe with a clear hose and bucket. You could hide the...

Has anyone ever bought a cham from precision reptile labs in florida? They seem to have a sweet selection of animals to choose from and they are offering panther chams for $99! They even say that they are all second generation or longer...

cool cage! It seems too small for chameleons though. If someone did that for a larger cage, it would be awesome.

I think that is the simplest way to go so I do not have to mess with a drip pan.

oh and i was thinking about it draining out of the side and not the bottom, so i can just put it on a table and not have to cut any holes, my idea being, a drainage pan that empties to the side and not out the bottom. What are people's thoughts about this concept? Thanks, chondrotastic

I'm about to get the lll reptile 18x18x36 cage with all the other stuff, but I forgot about the drainage system! Im not sure how this works,I have read about cutting a hole in the bottom and taking some plastic piping into a bucket. Im not sure if this will work since the cage is probably flat...
