Yeah I know what ya mean! Love heat! That’s what I did with his old cage. Just turned it into his outside area. He spends about 30 to 45 minutes out there. But it gets really hot fast so I sit out there and mist him lol. I don’t trust all the crows or seagulls here to not try to dive bomb him if he is out on me. Since it’s rains so much the little cage can be easily moved back into the garage. So it doesn’t rust and get invaded by bugs. We back up to a salt water swamp basically. So where the bay comes in. It’s really nasty lots of bugs and stuff so I don’t wanna chance him eating something he shouldn’t. But I’m paranoid too lol.I can’t wait for summer here!! Since I’m upgrading Ripley to his larger enclosure I am going to use his current one as his “outside/vacation home”. I am a southern summer girl!! Give me 90 degrees and super high humidity anyday over the cold! It still gets too cold for me here and we rarely see below 35 degrees and then only for a day or two!!
Lucky! I was born and raised in San Diego, I've never gotten used to the snow here, I pretty much hate it!

My guy comes out every day either outside when it’s nice or on his play area I built that is semi free range. I think he is a dog trapped in a Chams body because he is a total love. If I walk into the room he comes to the front of his enclosure wanting to come out. He has been like this with me since I got him at 4 months old. He is close to 9 months now. But yeah not shy or grumpy at all.So you bring your cham out daily? Does he come to you willingly knowing hell go in the sun or he/she a shy one.

I totally feel like I won the lottery with him! I see on here how antisocial they can be and I just feel so lucky that I found him.I always wanted a social chameleom. Thats like a lottery win for me lol... my guys friendly but i need to work with him with handling.. i never really do. But wana start getting him into the sun this spring.
Compared to a potentially cluttering looking free range set up i like how you boxed in a little "play area" lolI totally feel like I won the lottery with him! I see on here how antisocial they can be and I just feel so lucky that I found him.
My desk is right next to his play area this was him yesterday climbing out trying to get to me lol
He is such a goofball

Lol yeah thank you it’s three foot tall 2 feet wide and 12 inches deep. Not huge but we have a dog that I don’t think would ever do anything but just in case I wanted something up on a table that I could place in a window and I screened in the top and two side panels leaving the front and back panel open. I also added a bar above that a lamp clamp hooks onto for added heat. He loves it and will sit and just look out the window. So it has worked well for me. But he has now figured out that he can try to get to me at my desk so I never leave him on it if I have to leave the room. Amazing how fast they can be when they want to lolCompared to a potentially cluttering looking free range set up i like how you boxed in a little "play area" lol

It was fun but he still has no real interest in basking on anything other then my hand or arm lol.I cant wait to bring my guy out!
So jealous... ima try an get my guy used to handling while basking. It was fun but he still has no real interest in basking on anything other then my hand or arm lol.
Yeah I found out how strong his grip was today though. His little nail cut right into my knuckle and made me bleed a bit. A little shocking since he is still smaller and I did not think we were at the drawing blood stage lol.So jealous... ima try an get my guy used to handling while basking.
