I am worried about my little guys feeding habits. Ive only had him for a few days but the first day he ate 4 crickets via feeding with tongs. Next day i let them roam ad libitum and he ate approx 3. the next day i wanted a little more consistancy so I added a feeding bucket near his favorite spot. He did notice it and ate a cricket out of the bucket. but he only ate that one for the day. Due to his low age should I be worried about how many hes eating or do any changes to how he is fed?

Here is a couple picks of his enclosure

He's still pretty new to his surroundings if you've only had him for 4 days. He may still be getting acclimated to his new environment. I wouldn't be too worried being he's eaten 3 out of 4 days. Just give him some more time. :)

I agree he may be settling in. What size crickets are you offering to him? The size needs to be no bigger than the space on top of his head, between his eyes. Chams often will not accept crickets that are either too large to too small. They need to be somewhere close to what he needs. I am making a guess but, your cage looks very dark in part of it, that is just how the picture was taken correct? They do like a light cage. At his age he needs to eat 15 to 20 crickets a day.

I have been handpicking the sizing for the crickets. I purchase medium ones from my rep store but i still choose which ones go into the cage, that could be the issue so i might get smaller next time. yeah the picture wasnt best for the lighting. I put him right on my window and i tilted the shades so he gets a large amount sunlight during the day. Plus the uvb bulb keeps that section pretty saturated.

Yeah laurie that what I am worried about he should be eating many times more than what he has.
