4 months old and sleeps during day

Hey guys. I posted yesterday about my little guy. I have another problem. It seems like he sleeps a lot. I'm not home 8 hrs a day, so unfortunatly I don't know what he does during that time.

I get home around 5:30 pm, which in Ohio is sunset time right now. His lights don't go off until 8 so he still has light. When I get home he's always asleep. I've noticed on the weekends when I check on him he's often asleep as well.

His eyes are clear. So I don't think they're irritated. I may be over worried. I just really want to make sure I'm doing right by this little guy. His terrarium is misted through out the day. He also has a dripper. He gets 12 hrs of light. My post yesterday has his eating habits.

His setup is the chameleon package from lll reptile. He has live and fake plants. The temp is 85f and the humidity rest around 50 ish. His terrarium is a little different now. This was during the initial setup. The aloe plant is not in there btw. The iguana pic is from today.

Could you fill out the form in the link below and we'll do our best to help. Sleeping at all during the day can be a sign of a multitude of problems with chameleons. Without knowing all your husbandry info, it's difficult to say what's wrong. Also I believe that's a croton plant in the bottom right of the enclosure? If so its on the toxic list and should be removed.

I don't see any forms. I took a list of safe plants to a green house. They said that was one of them. I don't know plants well. I will remove it right away though. Better safe than sorry. I will happily fill a form out if you can point me in the right direction. If it matters I'm on the mobile site.

Ok ,a tiny little hole cut on top of the screen, versus some space for cham to walk on,if that was me ,I will choose the later one, just because I want my chamy to have some more space to roam around instead staring at a square green bottle water all day:rolleyes: U must love ur cage screen very much ,and you would not damage a tiny hole..ha,which I do understand ur caging perfection view, maybe we should all blame it on the screen design maker not making the easy access hole for us to put a tube thru....

I was more worried about injury or critter escapes. Come this summer I'm moving him into a custom enclosure. He's only going to see it for like 4 months or so. He's so little right now I don't think he notices.

Poke a hole and put a little black tape to cover the sharp edges cut screen then poke the tape so it wont feel any rough edge ....if he can notice a tiny little crickets he will notice everything in his cage, but the point is giving him more place to roam around instead he had to go square around on that dripper,it just my friendly suggestion for the cage thats all ,if u think thats ok for him to wait 4month long then I will wish u good luck till then:)
