a clutch out duds

we had a clutch of eggs that were laid on December 23rd it went full term some of them started sweating but they turned out to have like a hard boiled egg matter in the middle... can anyone describe or explain this to me I don't know what it is but??

I don't know what causes it but my guess would be the eggs were not fertile. I've had it happen before where most of the clutch only had the yoke and a few had babies.
