So I just got my little guy yesterday and hes doing awesome. Actually ate (a lot) and drank as SOON as I put him in his home.
Some things occured to me after putting him in there ...
Those of you who use auto-misters, do you turn them off at night along with the lights? My concerns are him getting pulverized by the mist while he is sleeping, and also the temperature. I feel like the water would drop the overall temp of the enclosure too much.
I guess I feel like he doesnt need the mist at night because
A) humidity is fine (between 60-80 w/ warm mist humidifier going in the same room)
B) He wont want to drink in the middle of the night?
My second issue is that I seem to have hard water problems ... the droplets of water that build up on the leaves are starting to leave small white stains when it dries up...
My half-ass solution to that at the moment was to remove all the water from the mister and mister spray bottle and replace with water I passed through a brita filter ... I don't even know if those filters help with hard water. Is this a viable solution?
