Welcome to the forums! :D How old is your Chameleon? a 2'x2'x4' is an adult sized cage, so if you have a baby, it may be too big and your chameleon may have trouble finding food. You'll want to vary his food a lot, don't want to feed him the same thing all the time as they get bored of it. You can feed things like, crickets, super worms, silk worms, horn worms etc. It's a good idea to have a few different ones on hand to keep his diet varied. Can you post any pictures of your enclosure and Chameleon?

Thanks i was told in the shop he is around 3-4 months old i have bought him locusts and mealworms and he has just eaten one that was placed inside his viv.

He also needs smaller diameter branches to really be able to grip well. There are many different bend-a-vine options on Amazon which are usually cheaper than the petstores. You can attach them in your cage to create highways for your little guy, using zip ties. Just make sure to keep the ends of the zipties on the outside of the cage for his safety. Good luck with him!
