I give my baby panthers as much as they can eat within about 5 minutes, 2 - 4 times per day.
Try to offer more than just crickets too, if you can! Variety is important

I've been wondering this same thing, can I overfeed my growing Veiled Chameleons?

One is about 3-4 months and recently has looked quite chubby. He eats voraciously and I feed him however many crickets he will eat... I thought that over feeding was more of a problem for adults.

He is feed gut loaded crickets daily with repti calcium with De, and herptivite multi once every two weeks.

I did catch him eating dirt the other day and have since covered the dirt with rocks.

He still defecates normally and it looks the same as always.

He is also still usually fairly active, though his balance doesn't seem quite as solid as my younger females (I could be imagining this though).

Anyway, here are a couple pics... What do you guys think?

Silly dirt eater... That's for the worms!

He may be looking for some more calcium. Try to get some calcium without the D3 in it and dust with that every day.

i feed my 2 month old about 10 crickets a day. i usually feed him as many as he can eat in 10 min in the morning and then add a couple mid day at around 3 pm.

mine is around 3.5ish months old and he will eat around 15-22ish a day. the first day i had him he had like 8 or so but since then he has been eating closer to 20 (3/8th-1/2ish) i've been told to essentially let them eat as much as the want till about 6 months and then start cutting back from there. im sure others have their own methods.

anyone else use that method? as much as you want till 6 months then cut back?

i have a brand new 3.5 month veiled cam and u dont have that much crickets and so far he only has eaten like 4 any help will be welcomed

You should order some pheonix worms! Baby chams love them! The are high in calcium and basically the best worm out there. That gives you a little variety in with your feeders. They are a bit harder to feed to older chameleons because they aren't all that big and relatively slow. I buy mine because my jackson will snack on them, once they turn to flies my jackson AND panther go nuts over them.

As for your cricket question, what size are they? My chameleon was knocking down atleast 20 3/8 crickets a day at that age. Bumped him up to 1/2 and he'd eat ten or so.
