He is 18 months old and I only got him about 3 weeks ago.
He was housed with his partner in a 100gal flex.
I have since put him in a 175 gal flex. to which I think he is sad.
today he started moping around the enclousure and was really feeling sorry for himself.. to the point he wanted me to get him out!! (that was a first)
He has been in his new home for about 2 weeks now. He is moping around and the vet says he looks really good, no parasites nothing healthwise to worry about.
Has anyone else had a yemen "Mope"?
He is currently shedding and I was wondering if this was affecting his mood so much?

mope = walking slowly around his enclousure. Keeping his head down and not lifting it for a good look around. Not darkening when I open the enclosure to show me it is "his home". He actually grabbed my hand to walk on it so I would get him out for a while today. (which was kool but unlike him)

Give him some time.
These animals are very territorial ... he hasn't claimed his new home yet.
His old home was the only thing he had that was his, and you took it away.
Better for him and the female ... but he needs time to adjust to the change.
He'll be happier than ever in his new enclosure once he makes it his.
