Am I doing everything right.?

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
I have a veiled, eight month old female. She's been in my care for one week and five days.
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? I've only handled her twice, and that was to take pictures of her back feet. It stresses her out, so I just simply watch her from a far.
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? I feed her eight nickle sized crickets ever morning around 7:30a.m. The crickets are fed apples and carrots. I'm considering buying dubias, silkworms, and butterwoms. I'm also ordering some Bug Burger for my crickets next week. Does anyone know if they need gutloaded or how to take care of them.?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? I supplement them with Reptavite regular calcium everyday, and Flucker's calcium with D3 twice a month. Ordering the Repcal Plus (I think thats what its called) from Repashy along with the Bug Burger.
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? I hand mist her three times a day for around one to two minutes. If I don't see her drinking I give her water through a dropper.
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? These brown with white in them. And not that I know of.
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. Just bought her, her previous owner didn't know much about her. She had her for a couple months, didn't give her supplements, have a UVB bulb on her, and kept her in a fish tank. I don't know if any of this will effect her in the future though. I hope not.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Screen cage. 24x24x48.
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? She has a 75watt All living things bulb to keep temperature up and a zilla UVB bulb.
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? The top of the cage is between 80-85, the middle of it ranges from 80-75, and the bottom is 75-60. Lowest overnight temp is 60. I measure these temps with a temperature gun.
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? My humidity levels are around 50. I maintain levels by misting her cage, I measure the humidity by a dual temperature/humidity gauge I bought.
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? I have one live ficus in her cage.
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? She's in the corner of my bedroom. At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? No fans, other then the one in the ceiling. No air vents and the only time it is busy is when I wake up and go to bed, unless I go in their to get something. She's on the other side from the bed and closet though. She's on a stand about two feet from the ground.
Location - Where are you geographically located?
I live in central Illinois.

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about. Its not that I'm really concerned with anything, I just want to make sure I am doing everything right. She didn't come in the best of conditions, and I've tried my best to fix all that I can think of. I just wanted to double check that all was right with her and what I am doing.

Everything sounds good.
Can you post a picture of her on here please?
i want to make sure the lack of supplements from before and no uvb didnt leave her with MBD.
and it is called repashy all in one calcium plus.... (i love it)

congrats on the new girl!

Everything seems pretty good, except what kind of Zilla UVB light are you using?. Most of us use Reptisun or Reptiglo 5.0 tube lights for uvb. Silkworms do not need to be gutloaded. They eat mulberry leaves or chow which you can buy from the silkworm breeders. Dubias can be gutloaded like crickets and I don't know about the butterworms!!!

Its a tube light. What would you like to know about it.? :)
Sure, here's some pictures.

I really hope nothing is wrong with her, she's my first chameleon and I'm trying really hard to give her a wonderful and loving home.

That's what others said before. But when I posted pics of her back feet they said she was female. So I guess she just looks like a guy. Lol.

i was just wanting to make sure you were not using the desert series light. I know some people have used the Zilla tropical but I cannot comment on whether they have had problems with their chameleons developing eye problems. As I said, the majority of us use the Reptisun 5.0 and we have no problems whatsoever. The Reptiglo's are good too.

i heard bad things about the old zilla lights but i also heard they fixed those problems. im using the zilla tropical uvb right now, no problems so far. if you have the dessert one id recomend changing it. ALSO if youve had it for a long time lets say over 5 or 6 months its time for a change

I believe that was the Zilla compacts and not the tubes but don't quote me on that! But yes, it was quite a few years back.

Im saying thats a boy.
I say this because that faint barring you see coming in.. does NOT appear on females. ever.
they dont get that barring ever. they are pretty much just green with some orange spots or blue spots..

Can you post a pic of the back of the feet again? a current one ppicture of the feet.

Im hearing debates on if the Zilla lights are good are bad. This is the one I have:

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18453

Is this one okay? I made sure to get tropical and not desert, and Zilla is the only UVB lights my local Petco has. Its brand new and has only been turned on a few times since I bought it to test it out, my first cham is coming in in a week. :)

Your petco should sell reptiglo or reptisun. but if oyu cant find them there, go to petsmart or order online.
we really just dont use zilla. they dont last as long, and they are just sorta crappy.

Oh, Ill check again just to be sure. Do they come in tubes and would they fit into the same fixture as a Zilla? Or do I have to get it in a bulb?

reptiglo and reptisun both come in tubes or coils.
I cant tell you if it will fit the zilla fixture, but it should.
coil and tube will be fine.
some say the coils are bad, but they have been fixed and i only use coils right now and hve no probloem.s
