Am I seeing the start of receptive colors 🫢

Stella always has her full colors and patterns blazing away. Receptive? Fired up? Asleep? Basking? Little to no difference between any.

1. How long does it take for the colors to fully come in. Not sure about this one bc my girl looks the same to me all the time lol😬
2. How long does it take for eggs to form
Roughly 30 days I think but sometimes it can be longer. That has been my experience.
3. Any advice on what I should do about her leg? It’s stilled swollen and I was debating on going to the vet again next week. This is a tough call bc of the digging part, it could make it worse.
4. Just any advice in general would be amazing You have us! Lol! It’s pretty nerve wracking but when the time comes she will know what to do so trust her instincts.
5. Oh and often do you weigh your chameleons. I weigh weekly once I see she is receptive BUT that may be overkill lol! I have become a little OCD but it helps me know when she is gravid so I can estimate the laying time frame.

I’m curious is my girl will develop any of those yellows/brown markings. So far all I was able to see is the little bits of blue along her back ridge. This is exciting and nerve racking lol!
 
She’s so grumpy lol. I’ve noticed that her colors seem to be like MissSkittles chameleon Stella during the day, but when she’s sleeping shes starting to exhibit the more “expected” colors like Sonny13s Bella.

That is so interesting. I wonder if we were to all share on a post all of our girls in their receptive colors, laying colors and resting colors what differences we would gather.

That’s how started of with Bella as well. First visible during her pj’s and later during daytime. Keep us posted.
 
How’s her wrist doing? Am I imagining it, or has the swelling gone down some? Is she showing signs of favoring it at all?
What is it about these lovely girls that hiss and try to bite us, that we just adore them regardless. 🥰
