Hey all, I might have the oppurtunity to buy this male Veiled, I still need to make an offer.

I know fl chams have veileds similar to this guy, but hes a real looker what do you think about his blue, hes 2 years old, I want to include him into my breeding project and start a blood line with this male.

What do you guys think? Should I take him?

Yeah I thought so too, but his legs are thick and he doesnt look skinny around the tale.

He is 2 years old never been bred, do you think he will breed and at what age will he stop?

I did not breed my male veiled until he was over two. I read on here of a member breeding his old male veiled not long before he passed away at age 7.

Like Jann, I think he may be a bit skinny, and on top of that. The loose skin could also indicate slight dehydration....But again, it very well could just be the way he is laying. He looks healthy otherwise. And yeah he is a looker. If this is an order from afar situation I would ask for more pics, but even then, if these are problems with him, they are very simple to fix. But it would definitely reduce the amount of $ I would be willing to spend on him.

He looks like he has reacted to the camera.
Mista pulls everything in and does a sort of twist and flat move if i move to fast with the camera, once he settles and realises it isn't going to hurt him he relaxes.

Gorgeous colours on him:D

Thanks guys I will ask for some more pictures, and let the owner know that it is a bit skinny and all maybe then I can get him for cheaper, but they are problems easily fixed.

get a better picture of his casque for the skinny thing. I say you go for it he looks beautiful

Skinny???

he must not be reacting well in his enviroment which explains the loose skin. you can tell buy his neck its too skinny to be a reaction. ask yourself this...would you sell him if he were perfectly healthy??? i wouldnt...but that doesnt mean i wouldnt "rescue" him. ask about his vet visits and if he has no recent vet visits with documentation make an offer get it accepted then ask to reduce the cost of a full examination..if they refuse on that then he must have a complication..still he may need help and soon....good luck he is beautiful!!!!:D:D

I'm thinking that picture looks edited. See if the price is reasonable and see if he needs some fattening up!

thats really weird because my friend posted this on my facebook a couple weeks ago, she just found the picture off google. i dont know if that is a real pic of the actual chameleon they are selling, but it may be

Yes, the photo has been edited. It is a technique called HDR (high dynamic range) photography. Three exposures are taken and merged into one on the computer to increase the dynamic range of the photo and make it look more like the eye sees it. Notice how there is more detail in the shadows and highlights than a regular digital picture.

This doesn't mean they are trying to mislead you necessarily. If not exaggerated or overdone this technique can make an image more lifelike.

He does look a little skinny to me as well, but those are awesome colors.

Wish I could see it person. Ive never yet seen a photo that was quite like seeing it 'in the flesh'. Often homer has displayed some incredibly brilliant/vivid color, and ill take pics if I have time, but they never come close!
Mind you, im a lousy photographer anyway, I got the national geographic 'wannabe' award lol :D

Chams always display great colors til you get the camera ready-then nothing! Here is another of this guy...
