Another drainage question :p

I've searched the forums and currently use 2 ways to drain my reptile enclosures, but want to do something easier and less messy.
I'll be recieving new lll cages soon and want to put a standard 5 gallon bucket under the stand I'll make for the cages for ease of carrying outside. If I drill holes into the PVC bottom like I have on my cresties cage the water still sits on the sides and doesn't all drain, also it's not to pretty. I have an idea of putting a sink drain cover in the center and using silicone to seal the bottom... But should I stick a brick or something to weighthe middle down? Main question is: what's the best way to drain a lll cage with using a 5 gallon bucket? You can link me but I have searched quite a bit.

If you have a live plant in the enclosure, the weight of the plant should be enough to lower the centre enough to drain. It works for me.

thats what im gonna do, just gonna build a custom 2x4 stand put 2 buckets under the two cages put a weight or plants in the center where i drill the holes, then get a tablecloth or a bed skirt that will cover the ugly stand i make :p. and make it look nice.

If you take something heavy, like a couple of bricks, and stack them in the middle.
Then use your hair dryer or the hottest setting and warp the bottom.
Do this over your sink so it has area to go down.
You can get a couple of inches of warp, and for free!
