Any celebrities on here?

There is nothing almost about my families olive oil company.

Did any of you have the opportunity to read the Reptiles Magazine article about the Exo Terra trip to Cameroon? There a couple good shots and mention of Chris. Chris is fortunate to study chameleons for his PHD.

Cool! I didn't know Chris is part of the olive oil giant and has his PHD by studying chameleons. That is a real celebrity. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

So lets see so far we have the internet nickle trick sensation, the Devil, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil moguls of California (which we should all thank your family for by the way that is awesome), a published scientist (Publish or perish not exactly rare not a celebrity but equally cool and impressive to our community), and it sounds like Olimpia has a few leads which we won't jinx by being hopeful.

As for me, I don't even have any good stories of celebrities I've met but for some reason my friends all do, I just don't pay attention to that sort of stuff. I do want to meet Jimmy Buffet though so Laurie wins the coolest person here award.

Chris Anderson is not apart of my families Extra Virgin Olive Oil Company. Although I did send him a bottle for Christmas last year. Chris Rich my brother (who used to keep chameleon and is a member) is a part of the family olive oil company. A picture of my mother holding him when he was a baby with an olive branch beneath is our companies logo.

The only two academic (official chameleon studies) celebrates on these forums to my knowledge are Chris Anderson and Petr Necas. Petr has written a couple amazing books and I'm looking forward to books published by Chris. There are other chameleon scholars out there and I wish they would join the Chameleon Forums as it would be great to hear about first hand experiences that their studies have taken them to.

- My Dad is a licensed pilot. The airport he used to fly out of when he was doing his training is the same airport that Clint Eastwood used to fly in and out of. I never met the guy but I guess he did multiple times.
- I don't remember which actor it was but one of the guys that played the incredible hulk (the original show, not sure if they have remade that yet...) almost bought the property I grew up on as a kid.
- Not sure if you guys know Chris Ferguson the magician but I met him before he became well known in the magic world. Really nice guy- I am glad he has enjoyed the success he has.
- I know a lot of politicians in CA, not sure if they count as celebrities or not (no, never met Schwarzenegger- came close though).
- Alex Trebec came through a store I used to work at a while ago. I guess he was buying printer ink. I did not recognize him but after he left my co-worker called me on the store phone and told me that Trebec was the last customer she had checked out. She was pretty excited.

That's all I can think of. I live in an area where several celebrities own summer homes and such but have not met them.

Actually.... This is kinda out there but you know VanKamps (spelling) fish and chips- the kind you find in the freezer aisles? When I was a little kid, my mom somehow got a job cleaning the house of the woman that owned the company (or somehow she had a major stake in it, I dont remember the particulars). I got to visit one time. Very neat house! She had a dancing water fountain in the back yard. I remember playing with it.

my dad worked at the embassy and met alot of international politicians and he and my mom met Sylvester Stallone (spelling?) at an italian wedding in DC.
im also keeping in contact w/ a few people from HS that i'm pretty sure will make it big some day :D like my friend "Squeaky" who wants to work at Pixar as a voice actor (the nickname does have a meaning that i'm sure you can guess lol).
My Fiance worked in a Cafe/Restaurant and met Bill Gates (sorta, he came in) and Bush i believe? apparently Gates had more security than the president lol

Were going on some stretches here... most all of us have met famous people, my grandfather's uncle corresponded regularly with Einstein and most of the other big physicists and mathematicians of that time.

So who here IS famous and has not just met famous people?

Jeff Corwin likes chameleons, maybe we can get him to join? (Is he even famous anymore?)

My crocheted chameleon took "best in crochet division" at the San Diego Fair this year....

Does that make me a celebrity?

Well if it doesn't make you a celebrity it definitely makes you super cool at the very least!

Not enough people crochet these days! All my daughters favorite blankets are the ones Grandma has crocheted for her. not to mention mine...

You don't think "super crochet woman" is a celebrity? I'm shocked and appalled....I encourage your daughters to pick up the hook and try crocheting. I think I've shown that it is not all about blankies.
