I have been trying to get back into pro hockey. I stopped watching when the players went on their stupid strike. I started watching CHL minor leagues. Colorado Eagle rock, besides go see a minors game where they still play aggresive hockey for 14$ plus drinks or go see an Avs game for 50$ + then drinks.
But if i have to choose a Major I still like the Avs, they were my first team to watch right after they moved from up north to here.

I went to the introduction of them coming to denver! great time!! I got the puck and everything! But that sucks we jacked the canadians but thank god we did since Canada and Russia are are the godfathers of hockey (Canada will take full credit watch
and yeah let me know if you wanna go to a game brotha, nor colo isnt far and I have SWEET season tickets! they are $100 a seat!

People in Quebec are trying so hard to get another NHL team back here... But even if we could get a new team, it would probably be a low-end team, and it will never replace the team Denver got at the beginning!!
Sakic, Forsberg, Nolan, Lemieux, Kamensky, Ozolinsh, Foote, Rucinsky, Deadmarsh, and of course Patrick Roy! Tough team wasn't it?

This brings back memories....transplanted Chicagoan living in Fort Collins, CO when the Avs came to town. Many nights in bars with my Blackhawk's jeresy on catching all kinds of crap as Avs handed our ass to us. The early Wings Avs. playoff series were an enjoyable blood bath. The two teams I hated the most just tearing each other apart.
I used to have problems with Avs being a transplant from futher north but now with teams in Phoenix, Tampa, Dallas, etc. I've come to like the Avs. I want hockey to be in areas where the kids can spend at least part of the year growing up with it and playing on a frozen pond.

It seems to me that the pro teams aren't playing as hard and with the enthusiasm they did before rule changes and player strikes. I could be wrong but watching the Minor leagues and then watching Pro there is a difference in the presense and power the players play with. I guess i will give the pro more chances and see.
I had one chance when i was locksmithing in fort collins to see the cup and get pics... i took two hours off my on call shift to do something and during that time my co worker got the call to goto East Coast (bar). They had the cup there you know the big badass coolest sports trophy ever cup there. Well they locked the thing in the back room with the keys to the back room with it. So my co worker got the call to pick that lock and got pics with the cup and players and then i came on call and he laughed at me.
