Anyone know how to come about this?

I know the type, as do all veterinarians & vet techs.

I'm not suggesting ratting out a relative—just passing along some "scare material".
But I doubt even this would help. I regret this is going to end badly for a lot of animals that don't deserve it. :(
Yeah, I think I’ll give that a try. Not ratting her out, but scaring her crazy lmao.

I do feel like after hearing/seeing this information she’ll just give up and pass them over to me. Just the thing that kinda makes me wanna pull back is the fact that trying to help people understand animal care/ trying to get them to get the correct setups, realllllyyyy embarrassed my dad when we were over there last. And he doesn’t want any more animals at the moment. Never really has lol, after we got my second Leo beans, he wasn’t happy bc we had some cresties before that and they smelled horrible(we cleaned the cages every week, like 1:10 ratio of bleach to water, and scrubbed until there was absolutely no debris) and my mother got very tired of the smell, so she sold them. My dad wasn’t happy about that either, because he knew I cared for them, but you gotta do what you gotta do ya know. Anyway I just hope he won’t be there the next time I see her because it’ll most likely be a war zone lmao. My mother thinks I shouldn’t be harassing her sister with reptile info, and so she tries to stop me, that won’t work next time. So yeah, I think I’ll show her the vet bills, the pictures of critically ill beardies that should scare the living crap out of her, and to top it all off, I’ll show her the laws that really should scare the Jesus out of her and get her to give in or throw them at me.
im reallllyyyy gonna need a good dubia colony if that happens.
sorry for the long post, there is a good amount of useless information in there

And I def don’t have the money to get a tank/ get uvb/ heat pad and tank for the Leo, so yeah, giving them to me is an absolute last resort

Idk if we have one around here, and it would be very hard to convince around everyone that that is a good option. I like the idea, but they sure wouldn’t
Reach out on here and Facebook to see if anyone knows or is incorporated with one, and if your aunt gives them to you, then they’re yours, and you can do as you please, especially since you can’t afford their basic care, let alone vet care

The mother almost never listens, never listens to the children either. I believe she thinks of them as replaceable things that aren’t worth the effort to take care of them properly(the reptiles, not the children lmao). He’s around the 12 year mark I think and would never be heard by his mother. Maybe pestering her with it she would give in, or maybe just pass them over to me bc I’m the reptile person in the family, but but her giving them to me would be an absolute last resort as I don’t really want them

I would think some of the things that are needed the kid could do/provide if he read that they were needed. I understand that the mom might not cooperate and buy things he needed...but maybe she would be reasonable if the kid showed her in the book.

Ah I’m young, have tried to have social media in the past and it never worked out. Parents and all, ya know. I’m always on Craigslist looking for tanks though, maybe I could find a cheap 50+ gal and a uvb thing, idk what it’s called at the moment, but what you plug the bulb into. Like the long thingies, you get it I hope, but crickets are pretty cheap and I can go with those and the other feeders I have lmao. Along with fruit and veg ofc. Idk why I’m saying this lmao. I guess I could just figure it out maybe. WAITTTT, idea. I have a friend with beardies, maybe she’ll take it if my aunt hands them over to me. Idk, why I just thought of that, that would most likely be what would happen. Aha, I could definitely take care of the leo though. I’ve got extra hides and a tank for temporary use until I can get a 20 long (the temporary one is a 20 high) but we are always looking out for 20 longs, so I don’t think it would be a problem. I’m sorry, I’m rambling like always. I just put down what I think really. Apologies.

Maybe, he’s done some research, so maybe he’s tried that? I’m not sure, I don’t talk to him much. But I’ll tell him to try that next time if my “scare her” Plan doesn’t work.

Nature's Miracle Small Animal Cage Cleaners (Note the Lizard!)

I use the Cage Cleaner in my beardie enclosure, which has NO BEARDIE ODOR WHATSOEVER. 😁
If it can kill beardie odor, it can kill crestie (and just about any other reptile) odor.
Spouse approved! :love: (y)

Could I ask if this is only for cats and dogs? I read it and got a little confused

Valid question. Following up, I found:
https://codes.findlaw.com/tn/title-39-criminal-offenses/tn-code-sect-39-14-201.html

As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) “Animal” means a domesticated living creature or a wild creature previously captured;
(2) “Livestock” means all equine as well as animals which are being raised primarily for use as food or fiber for human utilization or consumption including, but not limited to, cattle, sheep, swine, goats, and poultry;
(3) “Non-livestock animal” means a pet normally maintained in or near the household or households of its owner or owners, other domesticated animal, previously captured wildlife, an exotic animal, or any other pet, including but not limited to, pet rabbits, a pet chick, duck, or pot bellied pig that is not classified as “livestock” pursuant to this part;  and
(4) “Torture” means every act, omission, or neglect whereby unreasonable physical pain, suffering, or death is caused or permitted, but nothing in this part shall be construed as prohibiting the shooting of birds or game for the purpose of human food or the use of animate targets by incorporated gun clubs.

IANAL, but I would say it applies to any animal kept as a pet or in captivity. YMMV.
