Anyone's Cham crawl on the bottom?

Why would they do that during puberty?
I have not read any studies about it but I personally feel that the restlessness of the youth of any mobipe species on the planet helps to ensure that inbreeding is minimized and that the gene pool stays big!

For chameleons specifically, they dwell in trees. Not all trees in the tree canopy connects! This isolates chameleons to some degree to one location! So, when they during puberty, climb out of the tree (go to the bottom) and aimlessly wonder around, for weeks, odds are that they will en up to far away from family and the odds of inbreeding is decreased! Just my guess! Lol
