How goes it all-

:eek:Just thought i'd drop a line about my newest purchace which was a T5 6% high out put Arcadia Light (22" light on a 4hx2wx2). All ihave to say is WOW!!!! i used to have a Reptiglo 5.0 and the difference is NIGHT and DAY literally, And the customer service by Todd is hands down the best. Quick responses when u want them and very friendly. If you're in doubt, i'll be posting before and after pics. But if ur in the market for lighing..... U CANT GO WRONG WITH THE ARCADIA :D

Couldnt agree more with the both of you, excellent service and products!

Needless to say I no longer use any of my t8 fixtures/lights :D

Im in shock, you telling me youve only now bought them?! lol

Theyre worth their weight in gold, so to speak. Aesome product, and great customer care, regardless of wether you live in the US or UK, their representatives are great. :D

Amazing bulbs and great for the animals. I think you would need about 4 5.0 bulbs to get the brightness of one of these bulbs.

They are great! Nice.buy, I got a t5 12% the other day and my cham is more active, brighter in color. It lights the.whole cage and. My plants are growing like crazy:)

Here is a pictrue of Giggity's cage w/ the new ARCADIA Light. I have old pictures in my profile. I also noticed he started to show wat better Colors. Heres a picture of him

Which bulb would be best for a Jackson's? I see some people use 6% and others use 12%. I think 6% is for tropical and 12% desert?

6% is plenty. you just have to be careful where you put the 12% light and be sure your cham can get away feom if need be.i think the 12% is d3+ not too experiwnced with lighting except knowing these are the way to go.

6% is more than enough for chams even through screen, the 12% are nice if you have a solormeter. Because then you can dull down the uvb through blocking methodes and remove the blocking as the bulb wears out. A solormeter IS needed to this safely tho.

so just get 6% if your going to he blocking the light.. and these bulbs last a year!.. so they say, if i could afford a solarmeter thay would be great

Ok, thanks. Yeah my guy sometimes hangs out on the top of his cage right under the UV light.

Very important factor is how tall is cage. But not pure dimensions but where are the chameleons most time.
By D3+ they can not take "sunbath" closer like foot (I speak about longer exposure). If they bask closer, it should be just D3 (but not under 10 cm). If they move ofen in distance less than 2 feet, you have no reason use D3+ - D3 will provide adequate UVB supply. However if they are mostly 3 feet or even more, you must use D3+. By distance over 1m you need probably use 2x D3+ tubes. So it is all about distance light source - chameleon.

I have replaced all my Reptisun bulbs and ZooMed plastic fixtures with Arcadia.
Todd really is a great guy, he even returns my phone calls

When I did my UV readings with my meter here is what I got:

Reptisun 5.0 18'' measured through the screen = 3
measured straight direct = 4

Arcadia 6.0 22'' through screen = 6
measured direct = 6

Be interested to see any veriations for multiple sample readings :)

P.S. almost forgot, important factor, measurements were taken @ about 8''.
