Not to hijack your thread Alex but, here are some much better pics I took of your thamnobates. This is one of your males a few days before I shipped him to youANDDD all of you keep saying how tiny they are over and over everyone on here is gonna think they stay that way and thats just how they are. They do get much bigger as adults. Enough with the tiny talk!!! LOL

Paul, im in the process of replanting all of them, the plants i used are all dying or already dead.
You use organic soil right? Its weird that he was digging in the dirt, that sounds like he was trying to cool off or something.

Or warm up, they reportedly seek out small abandoned holes, or burrows in the ground to protect themselves from the winter cold.
Im really sorry to hear about you losing him Alex.
That just really sucks man.
No fear though, we still have 2 males, and 4 females.
What watt/type bulbs are you using for basking?
What kind of temperature and RH ranges have they been at?
I agree that they may like some dense foliage in there, but not sure if/how that may have been a contributing factor to your guy passing.
I know mine spend a ton of time buried deep in the dense grass/bushes.
They really seem at home there.
I have never seen my male show yellows as bright as yours!
Mine is getting more of an ugly orangish tone all over.
I'm so sorry to hear this! What a shame, I'm sorry you lost him.
