So, I was talking to a person from my LPS (not one of the chains. This place actually knows what they're doing!) about my plans to breed Echo and his future girlfriend. And they sounded pretty receptive to purchasing babies from me, knowing that they wouldn't be arriving until probably the end of this year. He sounded kind of excited by the opportunity to work with a local breeder. I like to plan ahead when I take on projects like this. If I end up with 30-50 babies, I'm going to need some where for them to go! Of course, CF members will get first dibs.
Michelle, I am really happy that you are getting a baby from me but your baby girl want be ready to breed until a year old or so. It takes 30 days for them to lay the eggs after breeding and then the eggs have to incubate for 8 to 9 months. Once the eggs hatch you will want to keep the babies for at least two to three months so you’ll be looking at about two years from now to have to worry about homing babies.
