Hello, I have a baby Cham bought at six weeks(didn't expect him to be this small when I drove A couple hours all the way out there, I figured from when we talked it was like normal 3-4 months old) :(
and went from being super active and eating one day, to sleeping(even in natural sunlight) during the whole day and barely got him to drink unless try to force feed. Wont open eyes either..
Had baby for a couple weeks

Panther Ambilobe now 2 months- very small
Handle; not very much but does like it
Feeding: Twice a day 20+ fruit flies each feed, and also lately pins also available. Ate first pin Saturday, not active or eating sunday WTF?
Water: Misted multiple times per day
Supplements : obviously calcium dust without d3 most feedings and
then without D3 like 1 a week or depending on if take outside or not.
Cage
Size: XL cricket-new container with screen on top. Napkins to hold moisture on bottom. Small bendy branch and did have small patch cat grass inside but tried lately without grass.
Light: all my everything is new and has been washed. have 5.0 reptile for baby, and 10.0 for my juveniles only like a month old bulbs.
Temp: my house gets lowest at 70 degrees in that room, and hygrometer/therm always shows good temps rt at the Cham 80-87 at corner where light is, and a lower at other corner.
Humidity: usually 50-60%
Placement: cage is on top of my desk
Calif. location

Its the size of quarter or smaller, Yes in a plastic habitat with screen top.
Cant have screens all sides due to dry in Calif and need to keep humidity in..
I have all sizes of cages and this is what works and what I read from this Forum
I have mist king on all other chams

I see a few of problems with such a small cage- first is no temperature gradient so he cannot thermoregulate, second no air circulation, third only a single branch does not provide him enough cover for him to hide & feel secure, and fourth very little space for him to move around. Such small containers are only intended to be utilized as a temporary enclosure like at a reptile show. A permanent enclosure needs to be larger and with more branches/vines, and a houseplant or two-
