i got a new baby panther chameleon and his anus just prolapsed, he started to drag his prolapsed anus on the vines in his inclosure and he started to bleed. eventually I wet it with water and it went back in, but now knowing anything about chameleons I’m coming here for potential solutions to future occurrences and if I need to give it care, what would be the best way to do it while causing as little stress as posslble since he is a brand new baby

It’s still very small it’s not an adult for sure and thank you
He’s no longer bleeding and I have updated the post with pictures thank you very much for your help

Tearing of intestinal or hemipenal prolapses still warrants a vet visit in my opinion whether it "stopped" or not. Internal bleeding in any form is bad, especially when it can lead to septic issues later on if the tear gets infected etc etc. And he looks to be around 5-6 months, maybe 4 months? he's not a baby for sure, definitely juvie but very far from baby.

I agree, get him/her to the vet, you definitely don't want septic infection creeping around later. If it was bleeding, it might still be internally bleeding. Definitely not a baby.
