Baby Panthers-Freaking Cute!

Well, I happened to find a fellow chameleon freak here in town.
He had chameleon cages for sale on craigs list, and sure enough we got to talking.
It's really funny that people I've never met or seen before have heard of me...
He was like, "oh, your that Justin?".
haha
He just had a clutch of panther babies start to hatch last week.
I just had to take some pictures when I came over.
Anyways, I'm going to be getting a baby panther and a large 24x24x48 cage from him.

They are SO CUTE! Kent, what process did you use to deduce that it is a female? I'm so curious about that sort of thing....I know that there is a bulge at the tail base for males, but in panther hatchlings isn't it pretty small? You're a pro Kent, tell me your secret!

Can I just pm the answer? I really like watching some of the breeders here admitting they can't tell for sure sometimes. :D

I do hope you will tell us what to look for so us newbies can learn how to tell these things. The only thing I am sure of is veilds, but I read and learn. Thanks.

Thanks for all the post guys and gals!
Thanks for the information Kent!
The consensus seems to be female, but with one male tossed in.
Let me look for another photo.....

It looks like I had a dirt on my mirror inside the camera.
Better get to cleaning!

Thanks again!

well the real question is do you still want it if its a female? ;).
After gettin my new female i have a whole new respect for the female panthers. They look so incredible in so many ways. The soft greys, yellows, pinks, purple and pastel colors on their cheeks just looks amazing once they've matured.

That's not dirt on the mirror, that's dirt on the sensor. Dirt on the mirror would only show up on the viewfinder. Have you got a sensor cleaning kit?

BTW, really cute baby - nice pics.

I agree females are amazing, I was obviously drawn to males at first, and thought females sucked cuz they lack all that great colors, but females def have there own unique style
