Baby veiled

I have a baby male veiled chameleon. The last 4/5 days he has been like a light brown color. Not all the time but a fair amount of time. His basking temp is 85-86 and he eats and drinks really well. He seems perfectly fine other then that. Do they do this when they are close to a shed? Anyone have any insight or if this is somewhat normal? Thanks

the last pic I uploaded is his typical color for the most part. Not dark all day just more then I would think is normal because my juvenile female is bright green all the time. He turns his normal green when I hold him or when he's roaming around his plant. He's usually that brownish color when he's up near his basking light

They do turn darker colors near the basking light to help soak up more heat so if you say he does it when hes basking I would think that is why

If your boy is dark like the sec pic a lot could be stress . Where is your set up ? What's your foliage ? Does it get lots of traffic where he's set up , Is that your boys basking spot ? I'm not a chameleon specialist . There's others on here like Jannb see if maybe she can help .

I would say it is just basking colors with a combination of his baby colors. The female is probably lighter because she is more mature
