And T-Rex...time to turn black, suck in your eye turrets, and look ferocious.

Kevin, how long have you been able to keep a WC? Also, do CB's have a decent live expectancy?

Thanks everyone! I usually get WC's every year (just one or two) to introduce new bloodlines...usually a WC gravid girl. They generally last about a year and produce 2 to 4 clutches each before they pass, but then again, they are all adults when I get them. I mostly just get them for the bloodlines. The CB's and CH'd should live 2-4 years.

Kevin, that cristatus is beautiful! What set him off into grumpy mode when you took that picture?

Amazing work Kevin!!!

You should be very proud of your accomplishments. This is just amazing. Keep it up and I wish you much success! Don't ever forget who talked you out of giving up. :D:D:D

Thanks. Have you ever tried to keep them in a zoo med terrarium?

Elisa...you are so cute...and it's true. I was ready to get rid of all of them...but you talked me back into it!

The cristatus is grumpy just because someone looks at him.

I haven't tried Zoo Med terrariums, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did well. They need lots of hydration though, so you'd have to make sure drainage was adequate.

They keep hydration pretty well. How much do you give your females to dig when gravid?

No...when it's getting time that she may be close to laying, I physically remove her from her cage & give her no other option but the bucket. You may have to leave her in for an entire day...repeating for up to a week. They don't generally just go in the bucket and do their thing right away. Get used to multiple attempts that are simply re-buried with no eggs. Make sure you put her back in her cage in between attempts to rehydrate/feed if necessary.
