Being harassed by telemarketer

I have asked to be removed from their list 4 times now. This guy is not just calling when he's at work now, or not just calling for work. He is calling just to yell at me. Asking to be put on the do not call list seems to make it worse. This guy is insane!

One time, this guy kept calling and harassing my mom, so I took the phone and said pretty colorful things, the guy said more colorful things, and I said "Listen here (colorful word) leave my mom the hell alone!" and I put this face/voice on which is hilarious actually, because anyone who knows me, knows that I'm usually like this or or

But mess with a girls mama, and she'll take you out
I love it when jerks call my house because I have fun with it.

Or you can say "Operator trace this call." The dude will think you have a tap on your phone and crap himself

You will want to get on the National Do Not Call Registry.

Go HERE: https://www.donotcall.gov/

Follow the links and register your number. After 31 days if anyone calls you it's a crime and you have legal resource.

Please do not post the phone number here. That would be very bad. I believe it is against the law to post another person's number without their consent and, if it happened here, it could come back to cause problems for Brad.

I didn't know that and I'm glad someone removed it before it caused any problems. I honestly had no idea it would cause trouble since it was a business number, but I understand. I don't know if it was you who removed it, but I'm sorry to whoever did. I hope it doesn't cause me any problems on these forums, bc I really like it here.

On a side note, to anyone who didn't see my post earlier, he did call again today while I was at work. I called another number that they have called from and left a message about the problems I've had and that I have asked 5 times now to be put on the 'Do not call list'. I will follow that link and get my # on the list. I'm so sick of this!

okay in a scenario such as this i wouldnt bother maintaining composure as hes the one calling you. it not like hes a bill collecter or anyone you legitmately need to talk to just take out all youre hate on the world with him. scream curse yell tell him youll rip his head off and urinate down his throat. tell him youll shove your fist so far up his blank that hell be needing to clip the nails coming out of his face.

why come to chameleon forums for advice just be creative and mean. in fact rather than being outright mean. troll the hell out of him. seem legitimately interested and talk about your alpaca farm and how soft the wool is for like 3 hours straight then right before you give him any info tell him you need to poop and put him on hold. then just set the phone down.

i love messing with bill collectors. telemarketers seems just too easy.

Molly, no, it wasn't me who pulled the number. I don't have that power. I'm glad someone did. That's basic internet: you do not give up another person's info. Especially with the intent to do harm. There's no way something like that will be viewed kindly in a court of law. People get in trouble for posting private e-mail addresses. A phone number is MUCH worse.

You can, however, share information on "private" things like e-mail or the PM system here. So, have fun with that.

Regarding the "do not call" thing...there are 2 issues. One is the company's private list. If you tell them not to call they are not supposed to call, but ultimately that becomes a "your word against mine" thing. The second is the NATIONAL Do Not Call registry which is maintained by the government. Get your phone number on that list and 31 days later any business that calls you is violating the law and you have recourse. There will be records of your registration and of their illegal calls.
