Birth day present for a 13 year old

here's an idea, a nice bike, a skateboard, a lacrosse stick, a football, a BIKE (nice bikes are the best present. i bought myself a Bianchi touring bike that was on sale that i have been saving for a year, and i cant get enough of it. im not saying get him a Bianchi, but a nice mountain bike will entertain him for hours and you'll get your money out of it.
 
Wow, Itouch dont even think Ive seen or heard of one of those ( but sounds fancy!) Probably like R5000 here.
Well I have been getting only chameleon supplies for my birthdays and christmas, which is what I want, my chameleons realy come first in my eyes!
Stuff like uvb tubes, lights, plants, cage materials etc.

Hey chamman Ive been playing guitar for about 4 years now since I was 9-10.
What do you play?
And what fish do you keep?, I have a breeding pair of Green terrors and they have had fry for the third time now. I use to breed black widows, tetras, convicts, siamese fighters and a few others.
I know theres alot of people that play guitar and have chameleons, its so wierd!
 
How about some lessons, like drum or guitar? It takes concentration and teaches them patience and a skill.. Might turn into the next Les Claypool and earn ya big $$ and a shoutout on Mtv! :)
 
get drum lessons, there are alot of people who play guitar, and have no love for it, they just think its cool. drums are unique. i may play guitar, but i LOVE MUSIC, and plus drummers aren't appreciated like they should be. it's hard to play drums, and if there were more drummers, the world would be a better place.(ok maybe not a better place, but there arent enough drummers)
 
Maybe go to a music shop and see what he is drawn to..It might be something a bit more unique than guitar or drums. I want to take Piano lessons but my have very tight joints that dont move quick enough.. and playing the piano isnt just a 'girl' thing.. You never know.. could lead to a life change..
 
i have just remembered my 3rd fav thing to do. HUNT. Get 'em a shot gun and a gun safety class and let him take the gun to a shooting range and blow off a few shells. that is very fun. once i fell in love with the shotgun every weekend i go to Bass Pro and buy shells, hit Honey Island Swamp sooting range, and shoot skeet. i know it's kind of Hill Billy sounding, but BOY is it fun.

a wii fit kinda nice! it's video game but at least your kid gonna move and break a li'l sweat. Heck, you guys can join in and play wii fit together.

I want one of these!! Can I say its my bday and you'll get it for me? LOL.. Nah we are gonna buy one but they are sold out everywhere and I am NOT an active participant in the price gouging that Ebay does.:) But I agree, the Wii is cool. I think we play it more than the kids!

Bought it; boring. Went in to Costo; they had a pallet of them at the front door. I went in like 4 times (limit 1 per visit) and bought them for friends. Everyone of us have since shelved/sold it. My advice is don't believe the hype and save the $$. My younger daughter uses the fit-pad only for her Wii cheerleading game - the games that came with the fit are entertaining for about 2 days.

My girls and I play the Wii - my son plays the XBOX360 - I've resisted the PS3 only because I think 3 game consoles is a bit overkill.
 
We want the PS3 moreso because our 2 is about to go out and we invested in the HD dvd..and Guess what? Its being tanked.. so we need a new one as that is currently our only DVD player.. but we are holding out.

We have the PS2, Wii, and good ol SNES..:)

So who's kid is having a bday anyways? I thought Sage started this but then Kelley chimed in that they bought some warranty..

Is the bday passed and what did he/she end up getting? Happy Birthday!!

Speaking of which, is there a way to know a members bday on here?
 
I dont think I'd give any 13 year old kid a device on which he or she could surf the internet unsupervised!
