black chameleon

My 2month old veiled is black! This is the first time that I have seen this since I got her over a week ago. She has been ashy lately and now I can see that some of her skin is peeling. Is shedding very stressful for them when they are babies?

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your female veiled baby. Chameleons are quite tricky and much harder to keep that most other reptiles. Normally they turn black when stressed but she could have something else going on. Please fill out the How to Ask For Help form and post some pictures of her and her set up. I keep veileds and have a few links for you below. One is about general care and the other about the female and the laying bin.
