As most of us know, Black crickets should not be left in the Vivarium overnight (even with some gutload left in to distract). I received these images of a bearded dragon attacked by crickets overnight from the reptile centre where I got my Chameleon

Sadly not long after these images were taken the Animal died, please try not to let this happen to your chams!!!

Yeah, I had heard that crickets would attack the reptile overnight if left in the vivarium but not to this extent and being quite new to caring for reptiles I thought that at most it would be a small mark
ThePantherchameleon: yeah that's the main reason I put the pictures on here, I am in the process of getting rid of the crickets i have left, mainly as Karmen won't eat them and I am not letting this happen to my pet

Thankfully my bearded dragon would eat anything the moment it see it. This is really sad. I only keep brown crickets but I had no idea black crickets were like this.:(

This is terrible and I know all crickets are capable of biting our animals.

From the photo, I see infection on the back leg which could have caused the death..
I have had many bearded dragons and this one looks very thin..

Sickness could have causes weakness which in return allowed for the crickets to find some soft tissue.

JMHO
