Is polysporin the same as neosporin

I went to the drug store and they don't carry Neosporin only Polysporin. Can I use that instead?

Is your heat lamp too close to the cage? Can you put your hand inside the cage as close to the light as your chameleons can get and see if it burns you.

Using your hand to judge whether the basking temp is right or not is NOT a great idea. Your body temp of 98.6 F (it's a little lower in your extremities like your hand) will affect what YOU perceive as warm, hot, cool, etc. A cham would normally have a much cooler body temp than you do and they sense temperature differently, so it will feel overheated (or get burned) at a different point.

If you need to know the temp at the basking area USE A THERMOMETER.

Ok so we went to the vet and he said that was burns, some parts more severe than others. He prescribed flamezine for 10 days. He also recommended for us to get a humidifier for the house since our humidity in the house is roughly 10%. Would you use a warm mist humidifier or cool mist? and does anybody else use humidifiers to help with humidity?

Cool mist humidifiers are safer in general. Warm mist just heat the water to steam. I personally like the cool mist. Typically they have more ability to control the output. The warm ones are typically a vessel with a heating element that just chugs out steam. If you have kids or other animals in the house i would say cool for the safety reasons. I used to be an ER nurse and have seen some nasty steam burns from the warm ones.
