My Female veiled has had blue dots on her head to tail for a couple of days now does that mean she is receptive? Im planning on breeding her is this the right time to do so?
Thanks

i will try to get some pics on if i can. I know what you mean about the colours amazing hey! im going to out her with my male v.shortly il keep you posted if you want?

If you hold the female in front of the male's cage so they can see each other, you can tell by her reactions if she is interested in mating or not. If she hisses, sways back and forth, darkens her background color, lunges in the direction of the male, etc. then she is not willing to mate. If she remains calm, keeps her body slim, walks slowly away from the male, etc. then she is ready to mate. Watch the male for aggressive behavior too though because sometimes they will react as though she should get out of his territory.

How old is she?

Shes just short of a year old and the last hour shes been mating with my year old male so lets hope for the best! isnt it weird how they can look the perfect couple when there are together but as soon its over they hate each other! Now the waiting game for her to lay!
