Boy or girl?

Help me sex my panther chameleon! First 2 pictures are when I got “him” then I posted the best ones I have of a side view. I got him March 2nd I believe he’s around 3 months old, I know it’s early but I’m just so impatient and didn’t think it could hurt to get a second opinion! His sleeping colors kinda scare me and the not so apparent bulge at the base of the tail is not any better, let me know what you guys think

If you have a red heat light you want to switch that one for a regular incandescent white bulb. The red is bad for their eyes.

I agree, kinda bums me out cuz it’s one of those situations where I paid extra for a male. Now I’ve built a bond with this particular chameleon all for it to not be what I specifically asked for. And those last 2 pictures were also closer to when I first got him I’ve changed the light since then!

I am by no means a breeder so it could be male... Depending on where you got it from, not all places are reputable. Females can be wonderful too just a bit more to their husbandry to control clutch size and providing a lay bin at all times.

I suck at sexing panthers, but I agree that it looks like you have an adorable little girl. While not as colorful or flashy as the males, the females are gorgeous too.

I hope it is but like you I’m leaning towards female. I’ll just have to wait and see and adjust the husbandry accordingly. Thanks for the input!

Agreed. Some are definitely easier than others to tell, thank you for the input!
