Breeding..???

Is there any insect I can breed that doesn't require a heat source?

Silkworms are good fun and quite easy to rear. I got my breeding kit from rickslivefood.co.uk for under £20. I keep mine in the cupboard where my boiler is which gives me temps between 20 and 28 degrees.

Woodlice maybe? I've never tried it, but I'm thinking of setting something up soon. A friend of mine told me they are extremely rich in calcium.
