Buying Veiled Cham Soon

WOW! What an improvement!

lol bare with me kuskye...
A simple plastic bottom will be better than a reptile carpet i think.
Anything that will not allow bacterias or mold to reproduce is ideal.

how much heat that 120 Watt heat bulb give?
Can you manage to get the right temp without overheating with that bulb?
If you can't you might benefit from switching to smaller wattage.

you can save money too :D

I can't see it well but just want to double sure, the reptisun is linear tube, right?
Also, you need a thermometer and hygrometer combo to monitor his temp and humidity.
i recommend this one:

yes its a linear tube so is the plant bulb, no more compacts for me i learned my lesson. i have a humidity meter on the side of the encloser and i have a infered digital temp meter, the highest point is 83 and i made my light fully height adjustable, ill go with lower wattage though eventually cause like you said same result and less power waste.... ok ill yank the carpet.

I just wanted to add cause I didn't see it unless I missed it...

You mentioned your house can get cold at night... You can buy a CHE (Ceramic Heating Element) from LLL Reptile and attach it to a thermostat... This will keep the temp up for your cham if it gets to cold, without keeping him awake with lights. Good Luck... Keep up the good work.

Since you almost finish, try to test run the cage 2 to 3 days.
Mist the enclosure, turn on the light 12 hours, and the other routine as if the chameleon is already there.

You'll find if you need another adjustment such as drainage problem, temp and humidity problem, etc etc.

If everything goes smooth, you get to do the most fun thing.. which is to actually get the lucky chameleon :)

I've got to say that I'm really impressed with you! It is SO nice (AND RARE lately) to see someone doing their research BEFORE buying their first chameleon! It sounds like you have everything in order to have a happy, healthy chameleon!
