Cage setup

Ok, so i changed my cage a little bit. It didnt seem to have enough cover for the little guy so I added an umbrella plant. I think im going to build a larger cage for him. Im thinking 36x36x60. Ill be using untreated 2x2 boards. And as for the cage, I haven't decided yet. I know i need aluminum mesh, but what spacing size on the mesh screen? I just dont think he has enough room right now. I know if I were a chameleon, I would want a larger encloser. Do you think this cage will be too large for a 3-4month old cham. If so ill keep him in the one i have now untill he gets larger, maybe another 3-4 months?

Here is a picture of the current setup.

You can surely build a cage in a few months, I did mine in one day, well planned mind you. I used a larger mesh, more like fine chicken wire 1/4 inch galvanized steel, rust resistant...all that. With all that said having the proper tools helped me out tremendously, and if you dont have all the resources the local home depots of the world sell wood cut in almost every size to ease the pain a bit. But your set up does look a bit crowded, but your cham may like the privacy...

I built 2 cages in 2 day. 1 is a smaller one and the other is quite large, You defently can do it. Just plan it out and take your time. Dont rush and you will have a well planned cham cage.
