Calcium Plus ICB

I have a question - was this product originally designed for Gecko's? Just wondered why the picture on the product is a Gecko and not a Chameleon?

By the way, got some in the mail!

No, the product was designed to balance out the nutritional value of a cricket and make it as nutritionally complete for whatever eats it. Bird, Fish, Reptile, Mammal, it really doesn't matter since all vertebrates need the same calcium to phosphorous ration and vitamins that are balanced to those vitamins. The picture is of a leopard gecko because that is the most popular pet that eats crickets.

Should we be considering the effects that it may have on laying females?
Is it really enough on it's own to supply females with enough calcium for egg laying?
I ask because I have been using it, and my female broke her leg due to using calcium from her bones for her eggs. Surely there are other factors that might come into play in my situation but supplements are on the top of my suspicion right now.

i see your point but for the most part i feel that most supplements can be insuffesient during the egg laying process, thats where the liquid calcium come into play for me. they really need a good boost to help out after all the work that goes into the eggs
