So, in 8-9 months or so, Ill likely be relocating...again.

Im currently in NC.

Anyhow, where should I go people?
(chameleons being outdoors is something Id like to factor in.)

Florida is close, and has nice chameleon weather yes?

California does as well yes? But is far away ;/

Maybe Ill just go to Canada though...

I live close to Canada, you can come here! But between FL & CA I would go to California. Weather is nice both places. Florida gets hotter and has the most awful humidity I have ever expierenced!!!!

It is mighty hot here during the summer and the humidity, well Laurie is right. Never been to Cali but from pics I have seen it is a way prettier state than mine. We have the best winters though. Great cham weather while everyone else in the country has to keep theirs indoors!

Born and raised Californian here. I don't want to be anywhere else. You can go surfing and skiing on the same day! Also you have Hollywood and excellent art and entertainment venues.

Im not sure you can go wrong either way brotha! Perfect cham weather, pretty women everywhere, nice beaches everywhere(depending on location i guess)...

Aside from the terrific weather, South Florida is just an extention of the north with all the transplants down here...myself included.

I adore California, LA is divine, but nice laid back areas in the outskirts. Cali was our first choice, I suspect we'll end up there one day. If companies there weren't so skittish about sponsoring our visas we'd be in the SF Bay area.

I absolutely love FL and so do my chams. :) I was born and raised in NC and talking about a hot muggy summer, we had over 100 degrees temps in the summer. Here in FL I live about a mile from the ocean and we have a nice cool breeze all the time. It gets hot but never like it did in NC. A 90 degree day is a real scorcher where I live. The winters are mild and we can use the pool pretty much year round and my chams get outside time year round. It's perfect chameleon weather. I have been to south CA many times and it's too cold at night for me there and the ocean never gets warm. We usually go in the summer and it's still freezing at night. The cost of living is also extremely high in CA and it's very reasonably here in FL.

Jann is right (we live about 40 minutes from each other) and I agree that in Florida the water gets warm enough to swim in, but it doesn't really on the Pacific side. Even in Costa Rica the Pacific ocean never gets warm like it does on the Atlantic side. So if swimming in the ocean is something you'd like to do, it's better here.

add to that no state income tax in Florida. With a good misting system and some way to heat your enclosures against the few days we have that are too cold for chams you can keep them outside year round. I know I do and they have never looked better.

Thanks for the info so far everyone.

To clarify, hot babes are not a factor.

(they will find me anywhere)

I have never been to FL, but I have some friends in Miami.

Ive only been to San Diego in CA, and was not that impressed, although I was only there a few days, and didnt see much.

My brother is thinking of going to school in LA, so I thought I might look into CA.

I know I cant see myself staying here much longer (its pretty heinous, the people I mean).

Canada seems like a fun and magical place, but not sure how hard it is to move there. ;/

Any other suggestions on awesome places to live are very much appreciated! ;D
