Calumma malthe--The Ugly Duckling Who Became a Swan

This little ratty girl was imported just a couple of days before Christmas and I bought her the next day. She was the smallest and most beat up of the group I bought. The other females I bougoht all had pretty blue ears and eyes. She was just a ratty little brown thing. Here she two days after I bought her:

Yesterday she started a shed and popped a shed the way a baby does. I've never had anything other than a baby shed like this:

Here is the swan that emerged later in the day. I think I'll have to change her name to Ducky.

It's like the ugly kids in school no one wanted to date then you see them years after graduation and say what the hell no that's not you lol she is gorgeous I love the coloration of Greens turquoise and the little bits of brown
 
She is wonderful Janet! She finished her shed very quickly. That is always great to see! She was still covered when I left yesterday.

She looks anew now. Calumma malthe is a great species to keep. This is a species I want to keep and have a go at breeding again. The best of luck producing babies with your breeding group.
