Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

Same! My veiled didnt get fogging for quite some time when I first got her. I fog for all 3 now, to me its a necessity,
My temps wouldn't go down before I went to sleep (I had made a mistake with my thermostat schedule) the night before last, so I kept the fogger off for 1 night. Spike didn't like that lmao poor guy. He was fine all day (didn't drink from dripper or anything), but when it came time to go to his resting spot, he went to a new spot, directly up against the big center pothos, and slept their all night (this is directly under where the fogger goes!).

The worst part is...... I found out on my app that the temps went down just fine after I went to sleep :( So I should have just let my fogger go on anyway.

Do you know off hand what the highest temp is okay to fog at night is? My temps were in like the low 70s. I'm curious if that happens again if I can just fog anyway.

I usually prefer it to get to mid 60s or less.

Petr Necas doesn’t recommend fogging in temps above 68 degrees.

No fogging here.

I mist for 3 mins at 9 PM, 3 minutes at 1:30 AM, and 3 mins at 6 AM.

The dripper goes on around 2PM for an hour.

I keep my plants watered and have two sides of the enclosure covered with coroplast sheets.

But my enclosure is in a basement with 65% ambient humidity. I run a dehumidifier during the day to get down to 40% humidity. At night I get up to 85-90% in the enclosure and 65 degrees. I love the little window AC in that back room. A very controlled environment

This is the way I imagine some cham owner’s electrical outlets.

Plug #1 - Basking
Plug #2 - UVB
Plug #3 - Plant grow light
Plug #4 - Mister
Plug #5 - Fogger
Plug #6 - Air conditioner (night drop to the 60’s)
Plug #7 - Dehumidifier (daytime to 40%)

Seems accurate 🤣🤣🤣

haha! For reference, I have made mine pretty simple (I think anyway lol)

We have forced air for our air conditioning/heating, so that helps. I don't need any outlets near his setup for that.

I have 2 surge protectors for Spikes setup.

1) Mister (on an outlet timer plugged into surge protector), fogger (on an outlet timer plugged into surge protector)

2) UVB light, Plant light. Basking light (on an outlet timer plugged into surge protector. The surge protector is plugged into an outlet timer, then into the wall. I do that because I have my UVB and plant light go on/off at exactly the same time (7am-7pm). Then I have my basking light plugged into it's own outlet timer(7am-2pm), also into that same surge protector, since they all come on together at 7am regardless.

I do not use a dehumidifier during the day. Though, I am wondering if I should? The top of Spikes enclosure has a humidity of around 55-60 usually, or lower. However, everything gets nice and dry pretty quickly. And there is a pretty nice gradient of humidity rising as you get lower in the enclosure, and around more plants, of course, and lower temps.

Bolt is just not a worm guy. Since he arrived, he has only eaten 4 wax worms. Today's menu 1 superworm, 2 extra tiny hornworms, 4 silkworms, 4 bsfl, 2 wax worms and he just looks at them like, No! Any advice. The worms will stay in the bowl for 4 hours. If not eaten, I'll feed him crickets. I have wasted hundreds of dollars on worns. October is gonna be my last month of introducing worms - i'

I'm wasting too much money.

May I ask why you remove them after 4 hours?

What I personally do, is set up spikes bugs in the morning (around 6:45-7:10 am). Go to work, and the bugs stay in there all day until I get home around 4:30-5:30ish. I still leave them in there until about 6:30pm, to get them out before lights go off. I know I can remove them earlier, and sometimes I do because he's in his 'resting' spot and I know he wont leave once he's there. But for the most part I let Spike dictate what/when he will eat throughout the day.

Have you tried smaller versions of these bugs by any chance? I cut down on my bug spending too because Spike just only likes a few bugs (crickets, BSFL, Silks).

I also use that one but I feel like I don't get enough fog on the highest setting.
FWIW I believe my fogger is very similar to that one. And it doens't produce this insane amount of fog. In fact, the fog doesn't even actually reach Spike. What I do is, I have the fog hit around the center of the enclosure, hitting the plants.

This seems to produce a constant (I run it non stop 1am-6am) hydration to the plants it's hitting. And then in return, is raising the humidity overall, including where he is sleeping.

Now.... I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this is truly exactly wht is happening. However, I started off with it this way (out of fear of having the fog hit him directly lol.... I'm just paranoid of him getting sick), and planned to adjust as needed to get him the hydration he needs. The results seem to support what I'm saying, as his sleeping area (and most of the enclosure at night) tends to be 85-100% humidity for the most part while the fogger is on.

I went without the fogger for ONE night and humidity was more like around 70-77% with small spurts of going a little higher shortly after misting. So, there is something to this, I think. I am focusing on the plants(which we know provide humidity), not directly hitting my chameleon.

Sorry to disappoint, but I am having too much trouble getting a pic of a current poo. He’s doing them way in the back and in the soil of a plant. Take my word though that they are appropriate to his size. Perhaps fresh pics of him from this morning will suffice. It doesn’t show well in the pics, but he was looking a bit blurple along his back! 😮
Bart is not at all a picky eater. He’s eaten every bug I’ve given so far.
