I tricked him to walk on my arm once and when he realized what happened, he was sooooo angry. Turned and hissed like he was going to chomp my hand. I don’t think I’ll be doing the super worm on the arm trick again any time soon.

Hey Andrew. I feel bad that Bert is a little fiesty one. Are you interested in exchanging him w a less fiesty one? I haven't had a not nice one before, so I'm not sure why he's bieng like this, I know that s actually how they "normally" are, but its not always fun to deal with.

No way I’ve had nothing but happy and lovable chameleons so far. How boring is that? Bert has an attitude and that’s fine by me. He is cage aggressive and rushes down front if I’m cleaning a poop or cutting back pothos leaves. I stand my ground and tell him he’s a tiny baby and no one is scared of tiny babies. Then I continue doing what I’m doing.

I stopped putting the bug cup in the back where he likes to sit. Now if he wants to eat he comes down front and eats from the cup as I hold it. We are coming to an understanding with one another. One day he’s sweet, the next he’s a little mean monster. I’m sure he will fire up plenty as he gets older so I’ll have one heck of a fireworks display. Lotta emotion in this guy. And he has the whole room to himself in peace and quiet!

I predict a year from now he will be a mild mannered couch potato and I’ll laugh about when he was like this.

When I am ready for chameleon #2, if there are any available at the right time, I will.

Sounds great. I'm sure I will have some little monsters either brewing or terrorizing. I'm completely addicted. Imagine what is it like having 50 little ET s staring at you with their most angelic innocent expressions, begging for yummy fruit flies or pinhead. Loll its quite a show. Lol.

Homer’s enclosure is constructed with pvc tubing? Very cool!

Bert embodies je ne sais quoi, charisma, pizazz, etc. Trust me, Bolt has the hiss and fire up on lock. When he is not interested in your hands cleaning or near him, he will hiss loudly and fire up. He is a little guy that walks tall and carries a big hiss.

That’s actually my biggest worry as well. Will they go to loving homes? Will they be taken care of the way I would care for them? Will I just end up with 100 chameleons??

My, my - I could not get past step 1 - caring for those tiny babies. I would be a hot, emotional mess. The stress of losing one- no, no, no. Step 2. I would not be able to let go.
Husband: When are babies leaving?
Me: What do you mean, I'm keeping them all, ALL!
