I have been hit with a chameleon tongue but never licked. I can’t imagine how you didn’t squeal when that happened.@Camiezone Thank you for choosing me for Bolt. He is soooo spicy/sweet. Yesterday, he was spicy - fired up at me for getting his poop out of the cage. Today he is as sweet as pie. Climbed on my arm and licked my skin while I was putting feeders in his dish.

I think it was a lluv lick.. Has Bert ever licked his branch? Bolt licked my arm as if he was tasting my skin. I've seen him lightly lick the branches. it's really sweet and the tongue looks different than when he's shooting. It's an amazing sight.I have been hit with a chameleon tongue but never licked. My boy has done it to me a handful of times. It’s a high honor to be licked by a chameleonI have been hit with a chameleon tongue but never licked. I can’t imagine how you didn’t squeal when that happened.
Bert licks his branches every day and it almost looks like he has a forked tongue. He does it in stride.I think it was a lluv lick.. Has Bert ever licked his branch? Yes, that's what Bolt did to my arm and the tongue is small and forked! I think it's an amazing thing to see.Bert licks his branches every day and it almost looks like he has a forked tongue. He does it in stride.
I hope someday we know what the behavior is for. It’s so darling.I haven‘t seen the petite purple princess Kali or my true angel Jack ever lick anything, but almost as soon as Bart got into his new home, he started giving little licks to his branches. It is a normal thing for them to do. I’m not sure if it’s exploring or marking behavior…just that it’s cute.
Yup! You now are the sole property of beautiful Bolt.Bolt is too comfortable. I took him out to clean the enclosure and he pooped while I was transporting him to a tred he can hang out in while i clean. We did not make it to the next room. Bolt started pooping in my hand. I then held him in a way that the poop would not touch me. My husband ran for a paper towel. Bolt pooped on the paper towel as I held his front body and tail. I then forced my Husband to wipe Bolt's vent because I was not gonna have Bolt clean his vent on my sleeve again!. Ya'll this is way too comfortable! Bolt needs home training camp. ANY CAMP SUGGESTIONS? @MissSkittles I think Bolt is marking me as his territory. Seriously, the licks, vent cleaning, now poop - he is seriously marking me as his territory.
Cleaning vent smears off branches is my least favorite part of their care.Yup! You now are the sole property of beautiful Bolt.
At least the smears are on a branch! It could be worse. Bolt cleaned his vent on my sleeve a few weeks ago. I'm telling you, Bolt knows he has me hooked/marked. Feeding silkies one at a time- really and pooping while in my hand, licking my skin! This guy is doing a number on me. I'm putty in his hands! Between Bolt, Carmelo ( my veiled), and the baby grasshoppers I'm done. The cuteness and sweetness has taken over. My brain does not have the ability to see them any other way.Cleaning vent smears off branches is my least favorite part of their care.
