Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

How is Herbert 8 months old? Just gulped down a fully grown hornworm in 3 bites. This is his Lion King action shot.
we have a king of the mountain over here 🤣 he was not very happy I had to cover the soil he was trying to munch on with foil until I got rocks to cover it. Stinker just moved on to another plant so I’ll be rock gathering again.

I’m seeing a pattern here!

So I've determined, that there's definitely a huge difference between babies from first mating clutch versus the 'retained clutches". The primary clutch babies grow much faster. It's a trip, they are all pretty much the same size when hatching. Are provided exact same conditions, nutrition, lighting etc etc. But definite size and coloration differences. Every baby leaving me, are over 3 months, most are gone before reaching 4 months. Big Girl is indeed a big girl, but I've seen and have other females who are bigger, it's weird. All my males are weighing over 200 grams, and about 18-20 inches long. (Some will say perhaps too well fed) but I think they are perfect. They exercise daily, which makes a huge difference. If a cham just sits inside its enclosure all the time, just like humans, we get lazy n fat, lol. I highly recommend and encourage everyone to make a junglegym or exercising track. Several of my baby caretakers, have created one with great feedback. I'll be happy to assist if anyone is interested.

Yep Herbert is already 16” long and I haven’t weighed him but holy cow he’s built. I need to dial back the food now. He has to be about 9 months and doesn’t need to eat every day.

Also he lays on the branch like he’s relaxing on a beach towel reading a book.

@Camiezone can you give me an approximate hatch date for Bert? I got him 4 months ago so I guess he’s 8 months. I’m looking at him next to an adult Nosey Be and they’re damn near the same size. So this begs the question, How Big Is Homer?!?!
Berts hatched in end of May. You got him September 15, 2023. Wow time flies. Here's a few going down memory lane.

He is soooo adorable. Omg. What a beautiful young man he has become. Looks like that attitude he had, has calmed down. You Crack me up, bum on a towel. Had me laughing so hard. Bert n Bart were really close, always hung out together. Also hatched just a couple days apart. Bart is the oldest. Here's some pics of the two
He’s only 8 months?!?!

CAMIEZONE IS THAT BABY HATCHLING BERT WITH A YOLK SACK STUCK TO HIS BELLY????? My head is going to explode!!!!
Yep. That's tiny Bert. He had just hatched.

Do you have pictures of the jungle gym? I have a free-range area but wondering how to make it more enticing.

He is sooo impressive looking!

Here's an update on Herc! His colors have changed a bit since his last shed. He's fired up in these pics and he's got much more yellows! I think he's somewhere around 7 months old, I think he's a bit younger than Bert and Bart. I weighed him this morning and he was 88 g. I've been *trying* to reduce the # of bugs he gets cuz his casque is lookin a bit puffy. I say trying because sometimes I am weak and give in to the puppy dog eyes of "please... just one more bug? 🥺". Herc is pretty much a master manipulator and plays me like a fiddle. 🤣😂
