@MissSkittles can you give me some insight about my unemerged Hawk Moth. See pics below.

Did it come out all the way or just partially? I honestly don’t know. I wish I knew more about hatching them. I still have like 5 that still wriggle when I touch them, but it‘s been months and they just aren’t coming out.
No, it's not all the way out. I actually touched it (with tongs) to see if it was still alive. That's when half of the chrysalis came apart.😱. It's still alive. I'm gonna be so afraid when this thing emerges! 0😬

I don’t know if gently trying to help it out would be good or not. I know with silkworms, sometimes they get stuck and can’t escape their cocoon before the stuff they secrete to soften the fibers (fabric softener?) hardens. I help those to get out.

WHAT! HELP IT OUT! I don't know if I can do that. I don't know why I saved this thing. Here I go again, doing something that totally terrifies me.

Yeah…I don’t really even know how that would be done, other than very very carefully and gently. With silkies I use tweezers and my sewing scissors to carefully pull open the end of the cocoon so the moth can exit.

I have four bins with eggs in a heated container and spray water every few days to make them moist. Hoping I am doing it right and have the eggs hatched.
Oh that's awesome. And alot of eggs. Wow. So fast too. What's your setup n Temps? I'm unsure on the whole egg care. What does moist mean? I've asked Dean and Khai. No feedback from either. I think they re realizing their monopolized hopper market is ending. More n more are attempting to breed their own and not pay a dollar each for a nymphs. Lol

I don’t do anything special, I just have a 100W heat bulb in each cage, feed them cricket crack and some greens. The one that keeps on mating and laying eggs are the first batch of hoppers I ordered from Dean weeks before I’ve got Picasso from you. I don’t even know what temp they are in. I keep the bin wet but not soggy wet, just enough to feel damp.

This is my set up:

I will be moving the two middle bins to a separate cage for possible hatching of eggs.

Hopefully, this adventure will be a success.
