Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

Thank you for letting me join this conversation and please be patient with me if I asks many questions along the way.

Picasso is our very first (actually my teenager daughter’s) chameleon. But like any other parent, I will be the primary caregiver and the ATM for any expenses. 😁
Please take some time to fill out this questionnaire so the forums can help provide the best possible experience for you and your new chameleon. Also please post pictures of your enclosure so we can ensure you’re providing proper husbandry. Thanks!

EDIT PLEASE POST THIS IN YOUR OWN THREAD>

Done reading the whole 25 pages of this post. Wow, Picasso’s family are all handsome and colors are gorgeous! Can’t wait for our baby to grow like yours. Knowing mine is from @Camiezone I am confident our boy will be as handsome as many of you have.
Welcome to the forum. If you would like us to take a look at your set up and husbandry just post a thread of your own. Then we can just look at your info. :)

Here is my line of thinking….

50 medium grasshoppers are $40.00 U.S. shipped. That’s 80 cents a hopper.

Crickets are 13 cents each at my local pet store. But I would estimate that 2/3 of crickets die within a week of purchase so they’re really 39 cents each.

AND medium hoppers are twice the volume of large crickets so they are really the same price when considering volume and shrink.

Also, hoppers don’t stink! Major factor there

I am going to set up a breeding tank for hoppers. It looks like I need a tall tank with a screen top, sand, and lots of branches. I’m so excited
That's my point and outlook. Grasshoppers live a long time, require little care, no water, no smell, no cleaning, 1 hopper = 2 or 3 crickets depending on its size. If you add gas (3 trips a week to feeder store), your cricket price increases.

Bud thought he would show his battle stripes a little for his brother Bolt!!

Is there only one seller of grasshoppers around? I DM SauceGandhi and said he has some on the site but it is all sold out, even before I DM’d him.

This is how I keep my hoppers. They seem to thrive. They Love love love heat. I'm so fascinated with them. It's a trip to see them morph out then they shed. They literally push out w their face n sheed everything, nails, eye skin, entire bodies n legs in one piece. It ends up like last picture. Crazy. The chameleons shed all too, sometimes almost in one piece, nothing like hoppers.
