Can chameleons get tired from exercise?

So Espio (6 months, male, veiled) has been getting to spend a lot of his day free ranging since we've moved. The whole time he's out he is climbing on things and exploring and moving all around, not just basking in the sun. I've noticed he seems to want to go to bed earlier though. Lights off are at 8 and around 7 he starts moving to his normal sleeping spot and getting comfy. He doesn't fall asleepy, his eyes are open and moving and if I put my hand in his cage he runs over to see if I have food. I was just wondering if chameleons are like people and after a full day of exercise might be feeling a little more sleepy earlier in the day. What do you think?

My guys free range too and they do get allot more exercise that when caged. I don't think they get tired but who really knows. Could he be in a darker part of your house when he wants to go to bed early? I know on cloudy days here if it's darker than usually my guys will want to go to bed a little early sometimes.

Probably okay, as long as you aren't training him on a treadmill with a cinderblock tied around his neck. After all, in the wild they are walking around all day long.
