Can I use a cheap humidifier instead of an expensive fogger?

Was looking to get some humidity into my chams cage. Don't really want to buy a $100 fogger, and was wondering if buying a cheap humidifier would be ok. And if it is, should I get cool mist or warm? Thanks

Cool mist ultrasonic from WallyWorld, and you're good to go.

I found a 0.5 gallon small one on clearance for about $25 a few years back, and surprisingly, it's still working. Give it a good scrubbing regularly. That's what I use in the winter.

Cheap humidifiers, usually warm ones, tend to put out large droplets that fall down very quickly. The will keep your humidity level up for a very short period of time after it goes off. The drops will then condense and stick to everything and/or fall to the floor.
The cool mist humidifiers make much finer droplets that will hang in the air for a long time.
So to answer your question, yes you can, but no, you probably don't want to.

Absolutely, just keep in mind the extra work that comes with the ultra sonic humidifiers, it is imperative to disinfect and clean the on a regular basis, it's really a simple chore but it is somewhat annoying. Diluted bleach solution, thoroughly rinse, then a vinegar soak or vice versa..
