They are toxic, but brevicaudatus will never try to eat them. Wheater they are able or not. Btw: Ivy is also toxic
I havent seen my guys eat any leaves, BUT philodendrons are pretty toxic. Buy a pathos, give it a month and that thing will take over your cage. Then when you trim it, root the clippings and grow more plants!
I thought Ivy was fine..... I am going to take it out and put something else in there. I know that they won't eat it but just in case a loose cricket does! What other plants would you suggest?
The small ficus species like pumila. Maybe some farns and moss. Asparagus are nearly perfect for all small chameleons, but they aren't easy to get, maybe via ebay
Pothos is a pretty hardy plant, and can be cut and rerooted like nobody's business; if you buy a big one, you can root cuttings by putting them in water for a bit, then stick them in the pygmy cage substrate, and replace as needed. I find orchids really like my pygmy terrarium; ferns have not fared nearly so well. Ficus has done great since day one (like yours) and seems to be the preferred plant to climb.
I have pathos and dracenia in there. I have not watered them besides 2x daily mistings.
