Can you use uniprim on a chameleon?

I have a friend who works in a pet store and when they get lizards they give them a bath in uniprim to get they hydrated and kill any infections. I have a chameleon that isnt drinking or eating (read my other posts) and she isnt 100% sure if you can use it on a chameleon or not. So i thought i woukd see if anyone had an experience or any input.

Don't know what this substance is. Bathing a cham in something other than water is not likely to help much (they absorb a little through their skins, but not that much), especially if you don't have a clear diagnosis of the problem. And, it might mask the real problem or make things worse. What were your other posts about? There are lots of reasons a cham won't eat or drink. Did you describe your setup and husbandry? What were the responses or suggestions?

My other post is my female veild chameleon wont open her eyes. People said it could be the light or the temp or humidity. She has an all mesh cage so what i did was cover two of the sides to make the temp a little higher and keep a little bit more humidity in there.

did you fillout ask for help form? If so, Was it determined that you are using the correct lighting and all?

I filled it out but no one said anything about my lighting. The light that i got was sunglo 60 watt daylight. But i thought she might be light sensitive ( same with the lady at the pet store who has had chameleons before) so i changed it to a 50 watt infared light

I went to your other thread to check the lighting. You have used two sources of heat, but no source of UVB from either bulb (neither the infrared or the reptiglo produce much if any of the UVB). Without UVB she can't metabolize the vit D3 or the calcium in her diet which will lead to metabolic bone disease and other organ problems. The infrared may be overheating her and helping to dehydrate her too. I doubt the reptiglo was "too intense" unless you meant too hot.

also in that thread I read that you don't know the temp in the cage or the humidity level. You've got to know this! If the cage humidity is too low she will dehydrate between every misting session you do and she'll lose ground. If the temp is too hot she'll get dehydrated or burned, or too cool she can't digest her food.

Did I read that you are feeding the insects the vitamin and mineral dusts? It wasn't very clear. To gutload your insects properly you need to use more than just crickets gel and carrots. They need fresh dark leafy greens, fresh fruit, and good quality cereal grains. Then, right before you offer them to the cham dust them lightly with plain calcium (without vit D3) every day, with calcium (with vit D3) once every two weeks, and with her vitamins once a month to 6 weeks. Calcium dust and vitamin dusts are not combined...they degrade each other if you do this.

The one reptilglo light does is a UVB light. It says right on the package that its a UVB bulb.
Thanks i didnt know that the crickets needed other things, i was giving them carrots cause of her eyes thats what my breeder said to feed them to.
I give her calcium 3 days a week than the opposite days i give her the zoo med vitamins.
