how are these guys to breed and keep i have a chance at some for a good price WC iam wanting to make a breeding project from it so i may get a 1.2 trio.

I was told by someone that they are fine in a single enclosure as long as there are 2 females is this correct?

This is a topic for discussion.

We raise and breed Carpet Chameleons. Carpets are an interesting species, females are fragile and eggs can be stubborn at times.

Most WC specimines are not in very good shape and they can have issues at times. Weve had some luck with WC however, so I would make sure you trust wherever you are getting them from.

It is not recommended to house them together.

It has been done before and I know Kevin houses females together, however the females that he houses together are raised up together, not WC.

I second what Kyle said.

I would strongly recommend not keeping more than one per cage. I know Dooley1 (Kevin) keeps some of his females together but as Kyle said that is only because they were raised from hatching like that and Kevin has years and years of experience with Carpets. I would not put two WC's together as it will generate a great deal of unnecessary stress on them and more than likely cause health problems.

thats exactly what i thought either way i have a few extra 2x2x4 screen enclosures already to go with drainage systems. anyone have experience breeding them that could give me a walk thru is it any diff then vields? how are the eggs for incubation and incubation time? average hatch rate? and raising of hatchlings?

how is keeping the adults? i currently keep a 3 maybe 4 month old male jacksons and people have said they are tough due to randomly dieing around this age and ive got everything to a t and havent had a single problem

When I used the search function at the top of the page I got 11 pages to read through.
